The Grandchester Model Live Steam Association Inc. is a non profit organisation set up for the sole purpose of providing a scenic venue for people interested in model engineering to operate and observe their hobby. Because the majority of these locomotives are actually small live steam engines burning coal - steam, hot water, cinders and lubricating oil are present in abundance so safety rules (which are prominently displayed) must be read, explained to children, and strictly observed.
FULLY ENCLOSED FOOTWEAR is essential for ALL persons wishing to ride on trains.
Shady picnic areas are available as well as clean public conveniences. Food and drinks along with souvenirs can also be purchased on site. Club members are always on hand to answer any questions you may have regarding any facet of the hobby.
The Grandchester Model Live Steam Association Inc. is situated at:
2 Ipswich Street Grandchester QLD 4340.
